We were asked to post about technology we either know little about or know nothing about. We were asked to research it and decipher if that particular form of technology would be successful for our classroom. The first form of technology I have chosen to look at is this site- blogger. My goal for the end of this course is to create a classroom blog that will increase and support parent involvement and positive home/school relationships. In the little I know about blogger I feel that there are many parts to it that may be successful in completing my course goal.
First off, I feel that there are several options for me to change and adjust the layout of blogger to include pictures and make it welcoming to parents. Blogger allows me to write about classroom events, post newsletters, and pictures of different classroom events. I am still unsure how easy it will be for parents to access regularly and receive notifications when something has been posted. I am hoping that as we use this site more, I can better decide if blogger is the right option for me in pursuing this goal.
